03 (Review on the book that i've read recently - Ways To Live Forever)

Ways to Live Forever is written by Sally Nichills. She was born in Stockton. After graduating in Philosophy and Literature, she took an MA in Writing For Young Ppl at Bath Spa University, where she won the prize who showed the most potential.

This book is about an 11 years old boy name Sam who was diagnosed with leukemia since he was a small boy. He didn't attend school like a normal child but he do did home schooling together with his friend, Felix(whom he met in the hospital). Their teacher, Mrs. Willis, one day asked both of them to start writing a book about them self. So that is when Sam started writing about his life, questions that no one will give him an answer and and some list bout things he wanted to do and lots more. He wrote this book for 4 months and the last page ended on the 12th of April.

Felix is a boy who is older than Sam and was on the wheelchair all the time. Felix is Sam's only friend and vice versa. So both of them really do hang out together a lot and one day, Felix told Sam that if he's dying, he don't want his mother to be around. It really does happen. When Sam and his mother went to the hospital to visit Felix, Sam's mother had pulled Felix's mom to another room to talk and Sam was left behind with Felix who was unconscious since he was admitted to the hospital. Sam sat next to Felix and look at him. Then Felix started to move a little and open his eyes. He look at Sam and smile at him then he close back the eyes and the body started to relax. Felix has past away.
After Felix's funeral, Sam don't really have the mood to do anything since his best friend is no longer around. But after sometime, things got better.
during the 2 months before Sam die, he did have lots of quality times with his family. His mother brought him for hill sliding when there's snow outside and his dad has fullfilled Sam's wish to go for an air balloon ride.
Sam died in the arm of his family. curling in the bed with his mom, dad and sis by his side.
Sam did an objective question list for the parents to fill up after he died(it's an idea he got from Felix).

The last question >> Other information:
Sam died quietly in his sleep. He was in no pain. (filled by his parents)

This is just a showt review from me about the book. This book is really nice. Try to make some time to read this book when you're free.
From the starting of this book, I have tears in my eyes till the last page. It is really touching. Can you imagine, it's like a boy with leukemia telling how and what he felt. What he wanted to do but he knows that it's impossible. That he won't be able to see the future because he know that he's dying. After reading this book, I am real grateful that myself do not have any of these incurable disease. I really can't imagine how my life will be if I do have it. Will be as brave as Sam??

Every minute counts...

Appreciate life, make use of the time and enjoy your life.
Each human being will only have one life.
Every hour,minute,second is very precious.
